Apprenticeship Success!

Two of L&G’s talented young apprentices, Reece Laurie and Josh Peek, have recently passed their second year apprenticeship papers – well done to them both!

Josh was also entered into the East Anglian heat of Skillweld, the most prestigious national competition for welders, where he put in a skilled performance to achieve first place.

Accompanied by L&G Company Director, David Gowen, Josh attended the competition final at the NEC, where all 10 area winners competed for the coveted title. Josh demonstrated excellent welding skills, winning him a treasured bronze Skillweld medal – a fantastic achievement, as he is only 18 years of age!

The competition tests all three welding processes – stick welding, MIG welding and TIG welding – putting competitors skills under close scrutiny.

We are very proud of Josh’s achievement, and value both Josh and Reece’s hard work for L&G. May they both continue to enjoy much success.
